Become a member of a Working Group
The entire idea of the working groups is to have projects similar structure, where students interested in specific topics can work on those. It is supposed to be student driven and there will be one responsible leader of each working group, making sure that the meetings are organized and the activities are executed in an appropriate way. However, there is no pre-selection of students. The number of students is actually not limited (as long as it is meaningful), yet we require at least 5 students per working group in order to have a proper foundation. Everyone is welcome to join his aspired number of working groups but please consider that we don’t want to have members that sigh up for everything but don’t show up anywhere. No one will have any benefits from it so be meaningful of how many and which working groups you join. Referring to this, there is always the ability to just join a working group as a guest to see what it is about, what the members are doing and whether you like it or not. It has to be discussed with the leader of the working group in advance though. Further, you can be member of both, publishing division and working groups, but also here just be cautious about the amount of work you can handle. And finally, if there is an amazing idea you had but it is not on the list? Mention it, get people together and start your own working group! Please, before you do so, talk to us so that we can avoid double creating and can potentially match you with people that had shown the same interest.
